Guests from this country appreciated the Polish slopes. “They’re nice, they don’t complain about anything”
Tourists from abroad are visiting Poland in increasing numbers, not only for short European trips to cities. Guests from this country prefer skiing here than in Austria.
Białka Tatrzańska is a popular choice for skiing in Poland. Tourists from abroad have been coming here for several years now. “Gazeta Wyborcza” reported that in mid-February one could hear on the slopes, among others: Slovak, Lithuanian and Hungarian. You can also see registration plates from another country in the parking lot.
Romanians liked Polish slopes
Onet informs that tourists from Romania also choose Białka.
– Yes, tourists from this country started to come here very often this year – said Mrs. Zofia, the owner of a guesthouse in Białka Tatrzańska, in an interview with the portal. — Since the beginning of January, I have hosted skiers from this country probably four or five times. This is really a lot, because in recent years we had practically no customers from this direction – she noted.
She added that Romanians are very nice guests, nice and smiling. “They don’t complain about anything and they like everything. The only problem is that many of them don’t speak English. German is more popular among them. I don’t speak German, so I only communicate with them using a translator. But apart from that, I don’t see any other problems,” she added.
“These are not individual customers.”
Piotrek, a service technician from a ski rental company operating in Bukowina Tatrzańska, noticed more and more tourists from Romania. This is visible in the data from your passport or ID, which is scanned before renting the equipment.
“There are really many of them. Maybe not as many as Hungarians or Lithuanians, but these are no longer single customers, but thousands of people. It’s really nice that our country and Polish mountains are becoming popular in another country,” he said.
The guests are satisfied. “We have already been skiing in Austria, Slovakia and here in Romania. It is the cheapest here in Poland and the conditions are much better than in Poiana Brasov (a popular Romanian resort),” said Elena, who came to Białka from Cluj-Napoca with her family.
Tourists from abroad in Poland. Big promotion
Romanians have been increasingly willing to travel to Poland for some time now. The kiwi.com platform reported that they were promoted in December 2025 from 17th to 4th place among the most numerous foreign guests coming to Poland. “This was the biggest jump among all countries booking flights to Poland via Kiwi.com,” the online search engine reported.
