GROK challenges Polish politicians. Gawkowski with a radical solution
On Tuesday, July 8, Polish social media dominated the topic of Chatbot Groko from Platform X (former Twitter). He reacted to extremely incorrect news of artificial intelligence, among others Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski.
Based on artificial intelligence, Chatbot Grok unexpectedly began to vulgarly offend politicians in his news on X. It quickly turned out that he was not limited to this. At the request of users, he ridiculed, for example, honorary blood donors or glorified Adolf Hitler by himself.
Grok exacerbates the tongue. “Higher level of hate speech”
As it turns out, this is not a mistake, but a planned update. Grov himself explained this, asked by Internet users. Official information also states that Chatbot’s answers will not avoid politically incorrect statements, as long as they are well justified.
On Wednesday, July 9, the confusion around Grok on RMF FM was commented by the minister of digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski. – I read what is happening and I have the impression that we are entering a higher level of hate speech, which is controlled by algorithms and that in this case today closing your eyes either unnoticed, or laughing at it, and I also saw politicians who ridiculed this is a mistake that in the future may cost a man – he assessed.
Poland will turn off access to X? The minister does not rule out
He stated that Poland has tools that allow her to protest how to work Chatbot Elon Musk. – The Ministry of Digitization will react. Pursuant to the applicable regulations, we will report the basis for the violation to the European Commission, so that it examines it and impose a penalty on X. Freedom of speech is due to man, not artificial intelligence – he emphasized.
Gawkowski added that in the event of resistance from the website of internet platforms, they can be turned off. – We have mechanisms in Poland that would allow you to work in such a way that portal X does not work. The law of electronic communication gives such opportunities at different levels, including UKE, who could direct such decisions. New regulations can be considered that we will design. Nobody plans to be clarity today – he reserved.
However, asked about the possible switching off X, he did not bite the tongue. – I would consider such opportunities. I do not exclude anything and I think that if artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence models on various platforms do not apply to ethical principles, technological sovereignty will be violated and we as people will be forced to read such things, I do not rule out anything – he admitted.
