The extended contextual window (400,000 tokens) allows you to maintain consistency and precision even when working with huge data sets, such as design documentation, video archives or complex research reports – he explains.

GPT-5 as a versatile business and scientific assistant

As the expert notes, from a business perspective, GPT-5 can automate many administrative processes, customer service and work with documentation.

– The model can interpret contracts and correspondence, propose subsequent steps in the project, analyze the code and suggest optimizations. In scientific research, he can prepare literature reviews, strategic reports or market analyzes, combining text and multimedia data – explains Radosław Mechło.

He points out that the GPT-5 market competes, among others with Claude Opus 4.1 from Anthropic, valued for narrative coherence and security, and with Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, distinguished by the largest context window on the market (1 million tokens) and advanced multimodality.

– However, the advantage of the new Openai model is balancing the speed of action with deep reasoning – says the expert.

The expert indicates that the first reviews in the media such as BBC, CNN or The New York Times are largely enthusiastic.

-Openai leaders emphasize that the GPT-5 is the first model that in everyday use gives the impression of a conversation with an expert “at a doctoral level”. The level of precision, compliance with facts and the quality of arguments is to be noticeable also in ordinary office work – he says.

The expert emphasizes that for non-technical users it is extremely important to automatically select the operating modes via GPT-5, which greatly facilitates the use of advanced model functions. Thanks to this, you can load large files, such as reports, presentations, photos or recordings, and the model will decide whether to give a quick answer or perform a more detailed analysis. GPT-5 thus becomes a versatile assistant who understands the full context of the matter-from the first news to the latest files-and on this basis prepares summaries, recommendations and ready materials for use.

– The last AI wave has developed solutions at the level of “universal assistants”, but only now there is a real chance that companies will think about AI not as a curiosity or an experimental cost, but as a partner in making decisions. And although the real Aga is still a long way, GPT-5 sets a new standard. The open question remains how the new tool will work in real applications – explains Radosław Mechło.

The premiere of the GPT-5 aroused great expectations, but the question arises: is it a revolution or the next stage of evolution?

-Indeed, the expectations of the GPT-5 were significant, after all, each premiere in the “subsequent generation” of language models in the technological environment causes hope for a qualitative jump. However, the question that returns on the occasion of this premiere is: Are we dealing with an authentic breakthrough, or rather with another, though technically impressive, stage of gradual evolution? – notes the moss.

The expert indicates that the industry has entered a repetitive rhythm: we regularly get models “better, faster, more precise” models, which, despite real improvements, do not fundamentally change the way we use AI.

– In other words, the market wants a revolution, but in practice it receives a consistently developed evolution. However, there are many indications that such a model of development will remain dominant in a predictable future until there is a breakthrough of current architectural restrictions and training methods – he sums up.
