GPS interference, mysterious energy. You will find this nature reserve in Poland
Lovers of dark atmospheres would certainly appreciate this forest. There are many legends about it – the mysterious Mucharyniec Uroczysko (Lublin Voivodeship) has been arousing imagination for years. What’s so special about it?
In the northern Lublin region, in the Biała Podlaska district, in the Sławatycze commune, there is an extraordinary place called the Mucharyniec Uroczysko. The nearest larger town is Krzywowolka. This unusual place resembles a circle-island in the middle of the forest, where, surprisingly, nothing grows.
GPS interference and mysterious energy
Although a bicycle path leads there from Sławatycze, it ends a few hundred meters before the nature reserve. Further on, the area becomes marshy and peaty, which has repeatedly proven to be a challenge for both pedestrians and cyclists.
When approaching this place, it is worth having a traditional map with you, because local legends mention disruption of GPS signals, attributed to the mysterious energy surrounding the area. Even people who know the area well admit that they sometimes get confused near Mucharyniec. According to legends, it was all due to a meteorite that was supposed to have fallen in this place. Another story says that in ancient times there was an Orthodox church here, which collapsed into the ground during the service, absorbing the gathered believers.
A similar place can be found in the Białowieża Forest, near Białowieża. In the local forest there is a mysterious circle of stones, surrounded by trees with unusual shapes. Instead of one straight trunk, trees usually have many branches and their branches are tangled. Particularly characteristic are the oaks, which create unusual formations, and the hawthorns, whose crowns seem to lean towards the ground, as if attracted by an invisible force.
The Cursed Trybecz Mountains
In Slovakia, in the western part of the country, there are the Trybecz Mountains, which have had a bad reputation for years. Even experienced hikers have difficulty orienting themselves and finding their way back. This range stretches along the Nitra River, and its highest peak is Wielki Trybecz (828 m above sea level).
Numerous stories about this place tell about disappearances and unexplained phenomena. Some people treat them as just made-up stories, but there are also those who believe that Trybecz hides something truly extraordinary.
These places – Mucharyniec Uroczysko, Białowieża Forest and Trybecz Mountains – are united by an aura of mystery and unexplained phenomena that attracts both adventure lovers and legend seekers.
