The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the coordinator of special services Tomasz Siemoniak spoke about the disturbance of the GPS signal over Poland. He discussed this topic in the “Graffiti” program at Polsat News.
Reports of increasingly serious disruptions of the GPS signal at the Baltic Sea and in northern Poland forced a comment from the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and minister of the coordinator of special services. On the Polsat News antenna Tomasz Siemoniak emphasized that Polish services approach the topic with great attention. He also did not hesitate to indicate the main suspect.

– It affects security, it affects the activities of our various military installations and military units – said the politician. – Because it happens in a large space – I say about the southern Baltic – it also affects others, so it is absolutely unacceptable – he added.
-On the other hand, looking at the Russian-Ukrainian war, or looking at the Israeli-Iranian war, it is a GPS signal, tracking, navigation, they become critical elements of these conflicts and of course we must draw conclusions from it and ensure the security of our systems-emphasized Siemoniak.

When asked about the party responsible for the whole situation, he pointed to without hesitation. “There is no doubt about this that Russia in this has his fingers,” he said. – Services have been dealing with this for a long time in cooperation with the authorities responsible for air navigation, for the security of Polish space and I do not want to talk about details here, because these activities are not public, but we treat it extremely seriously – he assured.
The minister stated that the disturbances of the GPS system occur too often and affect not only Poland, but also allied countries. – This is one of many examples that Russia at least does not count here with other countries. It must be said that this is a situation in which, if the Russians carry out any exercises, actions, etc., then routine is disturbing signals in such a case so that they are not traced – he revealed.
