CPN extended until May 15
– In response to the continuing unstable situation on fuel markets caused by the conflict in the Middle East, the fuel package introduced in March this year reductions in VAT and excise duty rates on certain motor fuels, valid until the end of April this year. Pursuant to the decision of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the VAT rate on gasoline, diesel oil and biocomponents constituting independent fuels, which was reduced from 23% to 8%, will be in force temporarily until May 15 this year. – informs the Ministry of Finance.
– Until May 15 this year. the temporary reduction in excise duty rates on the same motor fuels was also extended – he adds.
The Ministry of Finance reminds that the excise tax on fuels has been reduced to the lowest level allowed by the European Union, i.e. 29 groszy per liter of gasoline and 28 groszy per liter of diesel oil.
The CPN package also includes maximum fuel prices. They are set every working day by the Minister of Energy based on a formula that includes the average wholesale price of fuels on the domestic market, plus excise duty, fuel fee, sales margin of PLN 0.30 per liter and VAT.
The algorithm consists of: the arithmetic average of wholesale fuel prices from the previous business day reported by the five largest market participants, VAT and excise tax, fuel surcharge and a fixed amount covering the operating costs of sales in the amount of PLN 0.30 per liter.
Today (April 28), the rates for individual fuels will be:
-
unleaded petrol Pb95: PLN 6.21 per liter,
-
unleaded petrol Pb98: PLN 6.72 per liter,
-
diesel oil: PLN 7.12 per liter.
