Opening hours of popular retail chains

Good Friday is the day when stores operate at typical hours. Most large retail chains, such as Lidl, Biedronka, Carrefour or Auchan, will be open from early morning (usually from 6:00 or 7:00) to late evening, usually until 21:00 or 22:00. It is worth remembering, however, that some facilities may decide to shorten working hours, so it is recommended to check specific opening hours of the selected store on its official website or in the mobile application.

Housing and franchise stores

Smaller housing stores and franchise facilities such as Żabka or Carrefour Express will also be open on Good Friday. Their working hours may vary depending on the location and decision of the owner. Some of them may be open until late evening, others may close in advance. It is recommended to check the opening hours of a specific facility before planned purchases.

Planning shopping before Christmas

Good Friday is a great day to make the last major purchases before Easter. It is worth remembering, however, that on Holy Saturday (April 19) stores will be open shorter – most of them will close at 14:00 at the latest, and some even earlier. On Easter Sunday (April 20) and on Easter Monday (April 21) there is a ban on trade, which means that large stores will be closed.
