Glazed terrace and beautiful views. A new attraction for the whole family is now open
Tourists going to the Bieszczady Mountains can take advantage of a unique attraction. A new observation tower was opened in Pruchnik.
Poles love observation towers. Every year, new buildings are built in subsequent communes of our country, whose beautiful views are intended to attract tourists to previously unknown regions. The tallest facility of this type in Poland is a 62-meter structure in Świeradów-Zdrój. The attraction that has just been opened in Pruchnik is definitely lower – it is 30 meters high, but it cannot be denied that it is unique. Tourists will find two terraces here, including one partially glazed.
A new observation tower in Podkarpacie
You can never have too many observation towers – in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship alone, there are a dozen or so of them, and more are still being built. The newest facility from which we can admire an impressive view of the Dynowskie Foothills and the San Valley is the observation tower in Pruchnik. It was built in place of an old, 18-meter-high wooden structure that threatened the safety of tourists. The new attraction is twelve meters higher and definitely more modern. “It has two observation decks: one in the middle of the tower and the other at a height of 24 meters and is partially trained (…). There are 148 steps to the top. The tower’s structure is made of steel, only wooden decorative elements have been added,” says Wojciech Stec from the Municipal Office in Pruchnik in an interview with TVP 3 Rzeszów. The construction of the new tower cost a total of approximately PLN 2 million.
This is not the only attraction of the region
It is worth stopping here on your way to the Bieszczady Mountains, and not only because of the new building. Pruchnik itself is an interesting, small town with traditional Galician wooden buildings and a charming market square, where it is nice to spend a few hours on your way to vacation. “There are attractive bicycle paths in the neighborhood, and there is also an electric bicycle rental. The commune still wants to invest in tourism, its dream is geothermal pools,” we read in an article by TVP 3 Rzeszów.
