Gen. Komornicki warns: Is Poland ready for the next step of Russia?

After Ukraine, Russia will attack Poland and the Baltic states? In a conversation on the YouTube channel, “Moments” General Leon Komornicki does not change his words. He emphasizes that Article 3. NATO is more important today than the commonly cited Article 5.
In a conversation on the YouTube channel, “moments”, retired general Leon Komornicki explains why the North Atlantic Alliance asked Poland about the assessment of the condition and intentions of Russia.
The former general of the Polish Army Division is convinced that not only the declaration of readiness to defend allies, but also the actual potential of individual countries is crucial when it comes to NATO membership and protection against possible aggression of Russia.
We often refer to Article 5., so others are to help us. But it is known that he helps who have strength. Not Article 5., but Article 3 is the most important – because it obliges every country to build its own defense skills – emphasizes the general in an interview with the journalist “Wprost”.

Russia’s imperial policy is still alive
In the vision of General Komornicki, Russia will not stop at the war with Ukraine. He can take next steps to recover – in his opinion – key areas and increase influence. In his opinion, the Kremlin plans may be an attack on Moldova, followed by the Baltic States to create a land connection with the Królewiec district.
Such actions will potentially expose NATO to a unique test. The general indicates that in the meantime the US can significantly reduce their military involvement in Europe, which will further complicate the situation and what is visible today in plans to bring peace or suspend weapons between Ukraine and Russia.
“After dealing with Ukraine, Russia will attack Moldova and then the Baltic countries. Why? Because in Russian thinking, the lack of connectivity of the land of the Królewiec region with Russia is unbearable. Ruthenian generals and Putin, it is because of this that the head hurts that they cannot sleep. They are all the time on painkillers. They will strive for this connection, and Baltic countries are on the road to this. At this time, Americans may be so weakened that they will leave Europe. Will Europe be able to build defense capabilities and whether Europe will be ready to leave the comfort zone and we to proceed to the war with Russia, in my opinion it will not be ” – says General Komornicki.
Poland in NATO – a false sense of security?
Although Poland is part of the most powerful military alliance in the world, General Komornicki points out that belonging to NATO does not guarantee automatic safety. The key condition is to have a strong and well -organized army and social awareness in terms of potential threats.
“Equipment and armament are not everything. It is necessary for every element of the defense system to be consistent with the others. Added to this is the role of citizens – are they prepared in the event of war? Where is the civil defense of the country? ” – asks the general.
According to Komornicki, Russia’s tactics are based not only on military advantage, but also on intimidation, disinformation and political games. In the conversation, the general explains why Russian war doctrine can be particularly dangerous for countries bordering the Russian Federation, which still did not build a comprehensive defense system.
