Fuel prices in Poland. Finally, good news for drivers

Samochód

Fuel prices at stations have been rising continuously for three weeks. Cheaper crude oil gives hope for a slowdown in price increases.

The last days of September brought further increases on the retail fuel market in Poland. The price of any fuel has not yet exceeded the psychological barrier of six zlotys, and in the coming week, thanks to the discount on oil exchanges around the world, the increase in prices at gas stations should slow down – emphasize e-petrol.pl analysts Dr. Jakub Bogucki and Grzegorz Maziak.

Experts indicate that the cheaper crude oil this week gives hope that the average price of diesel oil will not exceed PLN 6/l in the near future. This price was last recorded in April this year.

Analysts point out that last week we saw significant price fluctuations in refinery price lists, and before the weekend we witnessed reductions that corrected the price increase from last week.

A cubic meter of 95-octane E10 gasoline is currently valued by producers at an average of PLN 4,529.00 and costs PLN 24 more than last Friday. Diesel oil is cheaper than a week ago, it has become cheaper by PLN 91 and its average price today is PLN 4,640.60/cubic meter – Bogucki and Maziak enumerate.

The end of price increases at gas stations?

The end of summer and the beginning of autumn were not very kind to those who refueled. Fuel prices at stations have been rising continuously for three weeks. At the turn of September and October, the price of E10 gasoline increased the most. The change amounted to 5 groszy and a liter of this fuel costs on average PLN 5.88. For refueling diesel fuel, drivers pay on average PLN 5.99/l, 3 groszy more than a week ago. Only autogas broke the upward trend, the price of which at stations dropped by 2 groszy to PLN 2.62/l over the course of a week.

How much will drivers pay next week? E-petrol.pl analysts predict price stabilization at gas stations. The expected price ranges for individual fuel types are as follows:

  • PLN 5.81-5.92/l for 95-octane gasoline,

  • PLN 5.92-6.03/l for diesel oil,

  • PLN 2.58-2.65/l for autogas.
