Are you planning a trip to Egypt, Morocco or Turkey? In the coming month, holidays in these countries will look completely different.

This year’s Ramadan is fast approaching. The ninth month of the Muslim calendar, celebrated in countries in countries inhabited by Islam, is a special time in the year in which time and daily routine will stop for a while. In the coming weeks, tourists will be witnessing this extraordinary period who have to prepare for several important changes. The new rules are waiting for foreign guests in countries such as Egypt, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco.

Ramadan in 2025

This year, Ramadan will start around the world in the evening of February 28 and will last until March 29. During the holy month, Islam’s followers will fast from dawn to sunset, refraining from eating, drinking and other physical pleasures. A post that aims to cleanse the soul, strengthen self -discipline and approach Allah is an important element of Muslim tradition even among people who do not follow everyday prayer on a daily basis. It is a time of evening meetings with family at a large table set, as well as an opportunity to participate in many unique events, not only religious.

Tourists must be careful of that

Traveling during Ramadan to the countries where Islam is confessed, they should not cause tourists any problems, provided that they prepare for such a trip properly. Foreign guests, including Poles, must remember a few important rules. First of all, depending on the selected country or region, smaller or larger restrictions may apply. While international restaurants can remain open in well -known tourist towns, tourists have no chance to eat a meal in the premises after sunrise. Under no circumstances should they do it on the street. It also applies to smoking or drinking drinks. It is also worth remembering about the right, modest, shielding arms and legs of the outfit not only during visits to the mosques (which at this time can allow tourists visiting at the designated time or give them up at all). Other opening hours of shops or known attractions may also apply during Ramadan.
