Friday after God’s body, a day off?
As “Fakt” writes, there is a chance that Friday after God’s body will be a day off. It turns out that a petition on the extension of non -working days was received by the president’s office. The proposal assumes that the list will be supplemented with another six days, such as:
-
Holy Thursday,
-
Good Friday,
-
May 2 (Flag Festival),
-
Friday after God’s body,
-
November 2 (All Souls’ Day),
-
December 31 (New Year’s Eve).
As you can see in the above list is Friday after God’s body. The creators of the petition point out that during this day – like on May 2 or December 31 – a weekend timetable is used in public transport. It was also indicated that on these days children have free in schools.
– There are calculations that every day off from work costs a few or even several billion zlotys. However, these costs seem inflated. After all, even if it is a day off from work, not for everyone – e.g. uniformed services or doctors must work. In addition, there are few plants that work at 100 percent. seven days a week – Economist Marek Zuber comments for “Fakt”.
The expert points out that Friday after God’s body is just a day where there is a free day in many companies. – Half poverty if the employee takes a vacation on that day. There are various combinations – emphasizes the economist.
The Chancellery of the President will have to consider the petition. Pursuant to the regulations, the president may bring a legislative initiative or – what happens most often – to direct the petitor’s request to the competent authority, e.g. the ministry. The newspaper points out that the described proposal will most likely be dealt with by the new President Karol Nawrocki, who will take the office on August 6.
