The new autumn edition of the DiscoverEU program is starting, in which: this year’s 18-year-olds can win a month of free rail travel around Europe. Applications will be accepted from October 30 to November 13, 2025, and the winners will be able to go on a trip lasting a maximum of 30 days after March 1, 2026. Additionally, the winners will receive a card entitling them to discounts, among others: in tourist and sports facilities. Were you born between January 1 and December 31, 2007, or do you know someone who meets these requirements? The European Commission announces a new edition of the DiscoverEU program, in which this year’s 18-year-olds with the citizenship of one of the EU Member States or one of the third countries associated with the Erasmus+ program (Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia or Turkey) can participate. All they need to do is register on the European Youth Portal between October 30 and November 13, 2005. Submission of applications opens at 12:00 Brussels time.

You must provide full identity details on the application form, including your ID card or passport number, and take a short quiz consisting of five multiple-choice questions on general knowledge about the European Union.

The prize for those who qualify is a free train trip in a maximum of two member countries, which, depending on the winner’s preferences, may last from one to a maximum of 30 days on the set date, but not earlier than March 1, 2026.
