Free train tickets in Poland. Special promotion lasts until the end of the holidays
A well-known carrier is giving away free train tickets. This is good news for anyone planning shorter or longer trips around Poland. How can you take advantage and who can get in? We explain.
A special promotion for train tickets has been introduced by Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna. Until the end of the holidays, it offers free travel for specific groups of people. They will mainly be used by students and pupils. The promotion is already underway, and the time ends on 31 August. Those interested should hurry up. The rule is “first come, first served”.

The train is an interesting alternative to a car or a coach. If you are planning to travel by this means of transport during the holidays, it is better to check whether you are not entitled to a free ticket. Łódź Agglomeration Railway has an offer for fans of travelling by rail as part of the promotion “Holiday travel for pupils and students”.
Free tickets will be available to students up to 24 years of age and students up to 26 years of age. Not everyone will qualify, because a special pool of 1,000 tickets is added every day. An eligible person can take a maximum of two tickets per day, and each can only be used for one personal data. When traveling, you must have your school or student ID with you to confirm your entitlement to the discount. The promotion includes ŁKA and Regio trains.
“In this way, we want to provide them with the possibility of easier travel around our province,” informed the Marshal of the Łódź province, Grzegorz Schreiber. “Traveling by bus or train, for example to the capital of the province, allows them to learn, develop and pursue their passions,” he added.

Free tickets can be found online every day from July 1 on the Koleo, E-podróżnik, Biletico websites and in the SkyCash and mPay mobile applications. You can go directly to the carrier’s website or use intermediaries. It is best to find the ride you are interested in and select the option: “Holiday rides for pupils and students”. If there are still tickets available in the pool, they will definitely appear. Then the price should be PLN 0. Otherwise, you will have to use the ride for the traditional price. There is a special instruction on the ŁKA website that can help you with the purchase process.
The carrier’s route includes places such as Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Zduńska Wola, Zgierz, Kutno, Łowicz and Skierniewice. Specifically, we are talking about ŁKA category trains on the territory of the Łódź province limited by Drzewica, Łowicz Główny, Kutno, Skalmierz, Radomsko, Skierniewice and Petrykozy stations.
