He set himself a demanding goal by taking advantage of the “25 for 25” promotional campaign of the American airline JetBlue.

What is this all about? The mentioned line announced a promotion on the occasion of its 25th birthday. To win the prize, i.e. Mosaic 1 Status, which guarantees many amenities while flying for 25 years, you had to complete the challenge – between June 25 and December 31, 2025, visit 25 different cities (destination airports) served by JetBlue.
Mosaic 1 status means the winner can enjoy benefits such as free baggage, free drinks, separate check-in and security checkpoints, early boarding and upgraded seats. Steve Carroll decided that the prize could be used by his son, among others. during studies.
“Completing the challenge earned each of us a reward of 350,000 points, which corresponds to at least $3,500 (approx. PLN 13,000) in travel value per person, plus additional points for flights,” Steve commented in an interview for local media.
Traveling required cunning
The American revealed that completing the challenge was a difficult task, especially if you wanted to complete it in a short time. Nevertheless, thanks to special patents, everything worked out. The man boasted that the adventure required a lot of money, but it was an “unforgettable experience” and it was worth it.
“Including the 100,000 JetBlue points I already had, the challenge cost me about $7,000 (€6,000) – all of which I made back through points,” Steve commented.
The man flew with his son mainly on weekends, sometimes taking up to five flights on Saturday or Sunday. “In total, we performed about 35 flights because some departure and transfer airports overlapped,” he said.
