Free attraction for a weekend in Poland. That’s why it won the hearts of tourists
This is one of the largest free attractions in Lower Silesia. From this tower you can see the Karkonosze Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif.
Observation towers are becoming more and more popular places in Poland. They allow you to enjoy the panorama of the mountains and the surrounding area, even for those who are not experienced climbers.
Tower in Dzikowiec. Free attraction in Poland
When planning a weekend in Lower Silesia, it is worth adding the biggest attraction of Boguszów-Gorce to the list, i.e. the tower on Dzikowiec (836 m above sea level). It is the tallest free tower of this type in Poland. The steel and wood, futuristic structure is set on a square plan and expands upwards. Its shape resembles a corkscrew or a spring. The observation deck is accessed via a spiral ramp with a gentle slope, and there are no steps at the entrance. Thanks to this, the facility is accessible to everyone, including people with limited mobility, but it cannot be used in times of strong wind and icy conditions.
“Comfortable entrance, fantastic observation deck and spectacular views. One of the best observation towers,” we read in one of the reviews.
The best view of the mountains for free
From the top there is a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding area. Above the treetops we will see the Karkonosze Mountains, the Śnieżnik Massif, the Kamienne Mountains, the Wałbrzyskie Mountains, the Sowie Mountains, the Ślęża Massif and the Sokółka Mountains. When the air is clear, you can also see the Sky Tower building in Wrocław from there
The attraction has only been available since February 15, 2025, but it has already received great reviews from guests. It is worth remembering to dress appropriately. “It’s better to dress up because it’s very windy and the tower can swing,” we read.
Second free tower
Next to the upper cable car station there is a second wooden tower – not yet “old”, because from 2014. We can also enter it for free.
The easiest access to these attractions is from the upper cable car station, which is open on weekends and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is a distance of about 500 meters to the new one. The most popular way to reach Dzikowiec Wielki on foot is the yellow trail, which starts at the lower cable car station. The route is approximately 2 km each way.
