Owners of houses, companies and institutions in the Lublin Voivodeship can remove asbestos from roofs and facades free of charge. The application period lasts only until March 4, and the program covers the dismantling, transport and disposal of hazardous materials. This is a chance to fulfill the obligation before 2032 without spending even several thousand zlotys.

Asbestos has been widely used in construction for years – primarily in the form of corrugated boards (so-called asbestos) used for roofing and facades. Today it is known that asbestos fibers are highly carcinogenic.

Will residents really pay nothing?

Yes. The financing structure is as follows:

down 85 percent costs covered by EU funds,
the remaining part is provided by local governments,
the resident or institution does not bear the costs.
