This healthy treat is nothing more than a mixture of fruit, water and flax seeds, which are rich in beneficial ingredients. It is worth using the unground version of flax seeds to make it. The compounds contained in the product oxidize quickly after grinding and lose their properties. The same applies to fruit – it is better to choose fresh ones than those that have already spent several days in our or the store’s fridge. In my jelly, I use berries, which provide an additional portion of antioxidants, so this is of great importance.

Ingredients

  • 15 g flax seeds
  • 60 g fresh raspberries
  • 250 ml water

A method of preparing

  1. Preparation of ingredientsWash raspberries thoroughly, remove stalks if present. Bring water to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Cooking linseed jellyPour flaxseed into boiling water. Stir and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside for 30 minutes to form a sticky paste. Pour through a sieve or eat with the seeds.

Possible modifications of linseed jelly

In the summer, this jelly is easiest to make – there is a wide selection of fruits and it depends on our preferences what we add. In addition to the raspberries I suggest, strawberries, currants – if we like them sour – or pitted cherries will work well.

Outside the season for small berries, it is worth using frozen ones. Just take a portion out of the freezer in the evening, put it in the fridge overnight and in the morning proceed as in the recipe. It will be just as tasty and beneficial.
