This may be some kind of abuse, but it is not the first time that FIFA has taken a rather direct approach to issues related to the potential… whims of the US president. Donald Trump has already received a peace prize from the head of the world football federation. As it turns out, this is not the end of the tributes to the leader of the United States.

What exactly is going to happen? It looks like there will be a repeat of the Club World Cup ceremony. President Trump will be in the spotlight again.
FIFA has no objection to Trump breaking award protocol and presenting the trophy directly to the captain of the winning team while remaining in the middle of the ceremony. The US President has already been informed that FIFA wishes him to hand over the World Cup trophy to future champions (…) FIFA protocol usually requires that the trophy remain on the plinth and be carried to the podium by a member of the winning team. Sources say FIFA will leave it to Trump to decide whether he wants to stay with the team during transportation or stay with other members of management during the ceremony. Information from the White House seems to suggest that Trump will again decide to celebrate with the winning team – we read in a text on talkSPORT.
We can therefore be convinced that there has never been such a celebration in the history of the World Cup. FIFA, led by its chief executive, will certainly make an effort to do so. Gianni Infantino has proven many times that for him… the impossible actually does not exist.

From June 11 to July 19, the 23rd FIFA World Cup will be held on pitches in three countries – the United States, Mexico and Canada. An event that will certainly be unique, if only because of its format. For the first time in history, as many as 48 teams will take part in the main tournament.
The title from four years ago is defended by the Argentines. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Lionel Messi and company defeated the French in the final, winning after a series of penalties (4:2). In the history of football World Cups, Brazil has the most titles – as many as five. Four victories in the history of the World Championships belong to the Italians and Germans. The Argentines won three times. More than once, the trophy for winning the World Cup was raised – twice – by the players of France and Uruguay.
The Polish national team was third twice at the World Championships, but those were the old days – we are talking about the events in 1974 and 1982. At the last World Cup, Poles managed to advance to the knockout phase, but were eliminated in the 1/8 finals by the French (1:3).
Matches of the 2026 World Cup can only be watched on Polish Television – on TVP Sport, TVP 1 and TVP 2 and on tvpsport.pl. Additionally, broadcasts will be available in the TVP Sport mobile application and smart TV.
