From July 1, changes in spas referrals come into force. More doctors were entitled to consider them,
On June 16, an amendment to the regulation on directing for spa treatment or spa rehabilitation was published. What will change from July 1? First of all, the pace of considering referrals.
Referral to the sanatorium. These doctors can confirm them
Until now, the referral was considered by a specialist in the field of balneology and physical medicine or medical rehabilitation, called a “specialist doctor”. In the amendment A list of doctors was extended to decide to refer the patient to a stay in the sanatorium. This is good news for seniors – they will be considered faster.
The regulation reads that after registering a paper referral in the manner specified in para. 1 specialist doctor in the field of balneology and physical medicine or medical rehabilitation or a specialist in the field of internal medicine or family medicine after a completed course in the field of balneology, or a specialist doctor in the field of rheumatology or orthopedics at the completed course in the field of balneology, hereinafter referred to as the “specialist doctor” (…) spa or spa rehabilitation. ”
When it is confirmed, the service provider will send them to the Provincial Branch of the National Health Fund within 30 days of its receipt. A new requirement has also been added in the amendment. It should be pointed out whether the implementation of healthcare services in the field of spa treatment takes place in stationary or outpatient conditions.
Will referrals to spas be valid?
In addition, a new referral for spa/spa rehabilitation was published. There is no reason to worry – those issued before the date of entry into force of the Regulation remain valid. They are confirmed on the current terms.
Positively considered referrals for spa treatment are confirmed by the National Health Fund in the order in which they were submitted.
