Customers with a subscription to the Play network reported problems with the service today. The network issued a statement on this matter.

Today is not only another recent failure of Blik, but also of one of the popular mobile networks. On Monday afternoon, many Play customers reported service problems on Downdetector. The number of reports began to increase rapidly after 3 p.m.

According to “Rzeczpospolita”, customers with a subscription to the Play network complained that they had problems with mobile network coverage and were unable to make calls. Some users also reported fixed and mobile internet failures.

We are aware of the current difficulties and are working to restore full functionality of the services as soon as possible. Please be patient – wrote the Play network in response to a comment from one of the Internet users.

As the newspaper notes, the number of failure reports decreased after 5 p.m. Some users reported that they could make calls again.

Play is a mobile telephony network in Poland, operated by P4 based in Warsaw. It is the youngest of the four mobile operators on the Vistula River. In recent years, Play has focused on expanding the range of its own infrastructure, becoming independent from competitors whose masts it has used for many years to serve subscribers (so-called national roaming). Currently, P4’s own network consists of approx. 12.7 thousand. transmitters.

As mentioned, there were problems with the operation of Blik on Monday. The number of reports on Downdetector began to increase rapidly before 2 p.m. Internet users pointed out that many banks were affected by the problem with payments.

We are currently observing an external DDoS attack, which may cause temporary problems with Blik payments. Work is underway to restore operational smoothness – said representatives of Polski Standard Płatności, the Blik operator.
