There was a power failure at Chopin Airport, which caused difficulties in checking in passengers and planes. An advisory for travelers has been issued.
Chopin Airport at 3:30 issued the first message reporting a “power failure”. “The port’s technical services are taking action to remove the failure. For operational reasons, passenger and aircraft services have been temporarily suspended,” it said.

As reported, “emergency procedures have been implemented at the airport” and “passengers and aircraft are being served wherever possible.” The next update will provide some more detailed information. As it turned out, a power failure occurred during the tests of airport systems carried out tonight.
“The tests were carried out with the participation of airport employees, who immediately took action to eliminate the problem. Airport services are still working on site to restore full functionality of the airport’s systems,” we read. Importantly, passengers who have flights scheduled for today are asked to arrive at the airport and follow the airport’s and carriers’ announcements. Chopin Airport apologized for the inconvenience.
