The government starts with the pilot of short working time. Companies can get up to 20,000 PLN per employee and up to PLN 1 million for the entire project.

From August 14, 2025, recruitment for the pilot program of short working time, announced by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, starts. As part of it, employers will be able to apply for funding for employee remuneration. The maximum support amount per project is PLN 1 million, and the limit per employee covered by the program is 20,000. zloty.

Test program

The program has a test character and is to check how the shorter working time model will work in various organizations. Participation in it is voluntary, and applications can be submitted until September 15, 2025. As announced by the ministry, the list of projects qualified for implementation will be published at the latest on October 15.

Entities from the private and public sector: enterprises, local government units, non -governmental organizations and trade unions can take part in the pilot. The condition is to conduct business for at least 12 months, employing a minimum of 75 percent. employees on employment and program contracts at least half of the team. In addition, the company must maintain employment at a level not lower than 90 percent. and not reduce the remuneration and working conditions of people participating in the project.

How to submit an application?

Applications should be submitted by a special generator. The documentation must be accompanied by a pilot project with a description, targets, assumptions and indicators of effects, as well as statements confirming, among others No arrears towards employees, tax offices or ZUS.

The implementation of the program was divided into three stages. The first will last until the end of 2025 and includes organizational preparation. The second – basic – will start on January 1, 2026 and will last a year. The third stage is a summary and assessment of the results – it will end at the latest on May 15, 2027, when participants must submit reports and evaluation surveys.
