The new regulations support the employment of people over 50. Employers can receive up to 50 percent. subsidies for their salary.

On June 1, the new Act on the labor market and employment services entered into force. This reform, inscribed in the national reconstruction plan, has replaced earlier regulations and aims to modernize the system of public employment services, including 340 poviat and 16 voivodship labor offices and training institutions.

Changes in the regulations

Among the introduced changes were, among others enabling the registration of the unemployed at the office appropriate for the place of residence, the abolition of age restrictions in access to labor market instruments and paying the allowance in full – regardless of the period entitling it to obtain it. A new ICT system has also been introduced, which will facilitate contact with the office and access to job offers.

One of the most important elements of the reform is the introduction of subsidies for employers employing persons over 50. Companies can receive funding of a maximum of 50 percent. minimum wage per month. Help is also included in the elderly looking for a job – women over 60 and men over 65 years old.

The new act also provides for additional forms of support. The possibility of financing the employment of a pensioner and registration of farmers in labor offices was introduced. Special support will also be given to people raising children and members of large families with a large family card.

Educational loan

An educational loan is also new, the amount of which can reach up to 400 percent. average salary – over 200,000 zloty. These funds can be allocated to postgraduate studies, training or professional qualifications. It is possible to redeem 20 percent. the borrowed amount after meeting certain conditions.

The rules for preparing an individual action plan have also been changed – from now it will be prepared for the unemployed for more than 120 days, people up to 30 years old and long -term unemployed. Contact with a career advisor is to take place every 30 days, not every 60.

In addition, the “internship plus” program was launched, enabling the acquisition of professional qualifications with the addition in the form of a scholarship. Employees of employment offices will receive an increase in the motivational allowance from PLN 600 to 1000.
