European airports announce a strike. Everything will be canceled that day

The European capital has announced a powerful strike at airports. No plane will fly away all day.
Belgian airports informed their passengers about the upcoming difficulties. Once again, there will be a strike in the Port of Charleoi among cheap airlines. On March 31, 2025, no plane will fly away from the main airport in Brussels. Earlier, trade union protests have thwarted tourist plans several times. However, victims can count on reimbursement for unused tickets.
Flights from Belgium canceled
On Monday, March 31, flying from Belgium will not be possible. As Reuters announces, both airports serving the capital have already canceled several hundred connections planned for this day. I am talking about the ports of Brussels Airport, where they fly, among others Polish Airlines LOT, and the Brussels South Charleroi airport, associated rather with the service of cheap airlines, especially connections of Ryanair loved by Poles. It is not known whether the disturbances will also include subsequent airports in the country – in Antwerp and Brugia.
All because of the national protest of the Socialist Trade Union of FGTB/ABVV and the Christian Trade Union of the CSC/ACV. This is a response to the recent proposal of the labor market reform, including raising the retirement age. “Airlines will contact passengers whose flight was disturbed and ask them not to come to the airport that day,” we read in Brussels Times.
Proper can also be threatened
While the departures will definitely not take place, in the case of arrivals there is still a little chance of their implementation. However, the number of aircraft landing in Brussels will definitely decrease. It is not yet known which connections will include reduction. Airlines will keep their passengers on the difficulties, and all travelers should regularly check the statuses of their flights online. The victims will be able to apply for reimbursement or free shift of air reservation to another day.
