The weather on the Baltic Sea does not attract tourists, which is felt by local entrepreneurs. – We hope that the sun will appear in August and people will return to the seaside – says the owner of the guesthouse in Dźwirzyno.

In July, the weather in Poland was a real rollercoaster. At the beginning of the holidays, thermometers showed values of over 30 degrees Celsius, but in the following weeks the weather became increasingly colder.

And this translates into a falling number of reservations on the Baltic Sea, which is felt by local entrepreneurs. The latest forecasts show that the situation will improve in early Augustwhen the African heat is expected to reappear in Poland.

Horrible weather on the Baltic Sea, tourists change their plans. “30-40 percent empty rooms”

– I don’t remember such a poor season in the 32 years I’ve been running the center, says Tomasz from Dźwirzyno, owner of the “Światowid” center, to “Fakt”. — There used to be a time when people would come even in rainy summers Today, 30-40 percent of my rooms are empty – he adds. Mrs. Krystyna has been running the “Słoneczko” Holiday Homes for over 30 years. — I only have 80 percent rented. houses, and at a price reduction of as much as 20%. for regular customers. The season has never been this bad, he admits.

The owner of the “11 Dębów” guesthouse in Dźwirzyno also has reasons to complain. — June and July were much worse than last year. We hope that the sun will appear in August and people will return to the seaside. For now, five of the 15 rooms are emptyeven though I have introduced discounts of up to 15% for regular customers. – reveals.

The question arises what the main factor is responsible for the fact that local entrepreneurs cannot classify the season on the Baltic Sea as a success. In this context, the weather is indicated as the decisive factor. – I don’t believe that Spain or Italy are cheaper, because I go there myself after the season, but maybe it’s about the weather guarantee. Because who wants to sit in a room with their children when it’s pouring outside the window – asks Mrs. Joanna rhetorically.
