Probably today the Sejm will deal with a bill, which obliges employers to present the proposed remuneration in the work offers. Not everyone likes this idea.

On Friday, MPs are to take care of the MP’s bill, whose main element is the obligation of employers to present the proposed remuneration in their work offers. The project was prepared by MPs of the Civic Coalition, and its working name is “clear earnings”.

Everyone who browses job offers notices that in many advertisements there is still no information about the proposed salary, even in the form of the so -called a fork. Often, the candidate learns about a possible rate during a recruitment meeting, as a result of which it often happens that it is only in the recruitment final he finds out that his financial conditions cannot be met.

Job offers with remuneration information. Otherwise

Lack of information about the proposed remuneration in work offers strikes particularly strongly at the most exposed to uneven and discriminatory treatment of the group of employed: young employees and women. Young employees entering the labor market have little reliable sources from which they can draw information on remuneration, and the lack of experience does not allow them to assess fairly whether the proposed amount in a given position is appropriate – emphasize the creators of the project.

If the new regulations come into force, employers who do not place information on the proposed remuneration will be punishable by a fine of up to 30,000. zloty. The same penalty would be to employ employees at a lower rate than given in the advertisement.

It turns out that the idea of MPs of the Civic Coalition raises reservations on both trade union and employers. – The project contains numerous inaccuracies and shortcomings, and is also not comprehensive and selectively introduces changes in certain provisions of the Labor Code – we read in the opinion of “Solidarity”, the content of which is cited by Business Insider Polska.

On the other hand, Employers of the Republic of Poland point out that the provisions regarding employees cannot be extended to persons employed on the basis of e.g. civil law contracts. – A person employed under a civil law contract is not an employee under the Labor Code Act – indicates the head of Employers of the Republic of Poland Rafał Dutkiewicz.

The planned change likes the vast majority of Poles. The recent study of No Fluff Jobs shows that as much as 92.9 percent respondents consider showing the range to be an important or very important element of job advertisements. What’s more, 91 percent people of working age prefer to apply for offers with the given rate, and in the case of the youngest generation on the labor market (people aged 18-28), this percentage is as much as 97 percent. The service of the website shows that only 12 percent We trust employers who do not provide information on remuneration in offers.

The publication of remuneration information in job offers in the near future is forced by the EU directive adopted in April 2023. It assumes that the wage fork should be included in the ads at the latest in mid -2026.
