Electricity prices will go down? An important declaration of the Minister of Energy
Electricity bills should not only be simple, but should be above all lower – says the Minister of Energy in an interview with Money.pl. Miłosz Motyk indicates a possible reduction in 2026.
The head of the newly created energy department Miłosz Motyk interviewed the Money.pl website. One of the topics affected in the conversation is the issue of energy deregulation. In this context, the minister recalls, among others Settlement of bills for the current.
Let us remind you that at the end of July the Sejm adopted the law in this matter. It assumes that the recipients are to receive a clear summary of the bill, instead of multi -page, incomprehensible statements. – On one page there will be three items: amount for consumption, amount for distribution and total amount. The citizen will finally know what he pays for – explains the Minister of Energy.
The Act also introduces the possibility of electronic correspondence between the energy supplier and the customer. Ultimately, there will be a complete transition to digital communication, which will involve the disappearance of traditional paper bills.
The Minister of Energy with lower electricity bills
Motyka admits that “bills should not only be simple, but should be above all lower.” – We are at the stage of submitting new tariff applications by energy companies. We moved the date of introducing new tariffs to the last quarter. The first applications are submitted until July 31, later a possible negotiations round with the President of the Energy Regulatory Office takes place. Analyzing the situation in the markets, we believe that it should be a amount lower than PLN 622.80, which is today on the tariff – says the head of the energy ministry.
The interlocutor of the portal talks about the need to reduce 5-7 percent. next year. When asked about what must happen, that the Minister of Energy emphasizes that the situation in the markets has stabilized. – Appropriate investments were made by energy companies, also in energy warehouses. We have better network management. It all affects lower recipients – Motyka says.
