Tauron Dystrybucja has expanded the capabilities of the eLicznik application with a new function intended for customers using remote reading meters. The tool is intended to help customers analyze energy consumption and choose the tariff best suited to their needs.
The new functionality uses measurement data coming directly from meters. Thanks to this, users can more precisely check how their energy use affects their bills.
An energy advisor will help you compare costs
As the company explains, the new function converts energy consumption into specific amounts. Users can see how much their energy would actually cost using different tariffs.
According to Tauron representatives, many customers still use the G11 tariff, although it is not always the most advantageous solution. The tool is intended to help verify whether changing the tariff group could bring savings.
Energy consumption analysis
The system analyzes the individual energy consumption profile and shows how a possible tariff change would affect the bill. Customers can compare costs in different variants and check the effects of shifting some of their consumption to cheaper hours.
For example, it is possible to carry out a simulation assuming greater energy use at night. Thanks to this, the user can assess whether such a solution would be profitable for him.
What does the eLicznik application offer?
The app itself also provides additional information regarding the use of electricity. Users can check what hours consumption is highest and compare results from different periods.
The system also allows you to set notifications informing about a faster than planned increase in energy consumption. This is intended to make it easier to control costs and respond faster to unexpected changes.
The replacement of meters is ongoing
The new function is part of a broader AMIPlus project, the aim of which is to replace meters with devices enabling remote data reading.
As Tauron reported, PLN 333 million was allocated for the implementation of the program in 2025 alone. According to the schedule, all Tauron Dystrybucja customers are to use remote reading meters until 2031.
The company operates in the Lower Silesian, Opole, Silesian, Lesser Poland voivodeships and parts of the Podkarpackie voivodeship. The distribution network covers over 57,000. square kilometers, and energy is supplied to nearly 6 million customers.
Earlier, Tauron also launched an online comparison of distribution tariffs. The tool allows you to choose from five available tariffs – from universal solutions to models enabling energy consumption management based on dynamic prices.
