Easier entry to the tourist-loved island. Visa changes

Cuba is an island that is eagerly explored. It evokes extreme associations, but it is undoubtedly a place appreciated by tourists. If you are going to the place, you will have an easier time than before.

Easier and more convenient travel to Cuba is becoming a fact. Great facilities are being introduced there. Tourists will benefit from e-visas instead of unnecessary formalities. This is a revolution on a global scale. There will be less stress, and we will also save a lot of time.

Changes to visas in Cuba

Cuba is introducing electronic visas for tourists from Poland. Thanks to them, we will avoid visits to the embassy or to an intermediary. We will plan everything online, and in a few minutes. Until now, many documents had to be filled out in person, now it will be completely different. We will obtain an eVisa by going to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning Cuba. There, we fill out a special form, pay and wait for an email with confirmation.

The organizational process is easy and cost-effective. Organizing a tourist visa online always costs 22 euros, or about PLN 94. The price will no longer vary depending on the consulate you visit – this has been the case so far. Those who prefer traditional solutions still have the right to use them. For now, there are no indications that Cuba will completely withdraw the possibility of using traditional paper visas.

The announcement about the changes can be read, among others, on the @cuba_consulado profile on the X platform: “Thanks to the electronic visa, applicants will be able to start the visa process virtually, from any device,” it was written.

Visa to Cuba. What does it give?

A valid Cuba visa is the only document that legally allows you to cross the border of this country – unless you have citizenship there. The electronic document is supposed to allow a 90-day stay on the island, with the possibility of extending it by another 90 days once you are there.

In addition to your visa, you should familiarize yourself with vaccination requirements. Important is one that protects against the contagious yellow fever.

Cuba has been an island associated with exotic culture, delicious cuisine, rum and heavenly views for years. Reaching the Caribbean Sea and the archipelago of the Greater Antilles is definitely a great adventure and challenge. Once you have taken care of all the formalities, focus on sightseeing. Don’t forget about the charming Havana, Viñales National Park, the city Trinidad, the castle San Pedro del Morro or the place with the waterfalls El Nicho. Those who love the sea will be enchanted by, among others, the promenade Malecon.
