The company known for its cleaning robots plans to introduce over 15 new product categories – from AI refrigerators to automatic lawn mowers. There is also a mysterious car project in the background.

So far, Dreame Technology has been associated mainly with advanced cleaning robots and vacuum cleaners. Now the company has announced an ambitious plan to transform into a comprehensive supplier of smart home devices.

An integrated ecosystem for the entire home

The new strategy assumes creating a coherent set of devices covering the living room, kitchen and garden. The plans include air conditioners with a robotic arm, refrigerators supported by artificial intelligence, window cleaning robots and automatic lawn mowers. All devices will work together via one mobile application.

Dreame’s approach to technology is interesting. The company uses the same proven solutions in various products – for example, a digital motor with a speed of 200,000 revolutions per minute drives vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and cooling systems. The robotic arm known from cleaning devices will also be used in air conditioners and washing machines.

Designing with users in mind

Dreame takes an unusual approach to product development. The company regularly engages customers in the design process, allowing them to vote on the most interesting ideas. According to the company’s data, as many as 90% of the functions in new devices are created thanks to such dialogue with users.

An example of this philosophy are new refrigerators with AI cooling. Instead of overcrowding them with multiple screens and modes, the company focused on solving a specific problem – better keeping products fresh and reducing food waste.

Dynamic development and new directions

The scale of the company’s development is impressive. In a short time, the number of employees increased from 8,000 to 12,000 worldwide. Particularly interesting is the fact that almost a thousand people are working on the Dreame Auto project – the company’s potential entry into the automotive market.

Europe remains a key market for the brand, which currently operates in over 100 countries and is available in over 6,000 stationary stores.

An investment in the future

Founder and CEO Yu Hao invested about 5 billion yuan (about $702 million) in share repurchases with Dreame. Thanks to this, his share in the company increased from 45% to 70%.

The financial results confirm the correctness of the chosen strategy – revenues in the first half of 2025 have already exceeded the full-year results from the previous year, which shows significant growth dynamics.

Long-term strategy

Dreame has chosen to methodically build an ecosystem of devices designed with the real needs of users in mind. Considering the pace of expansion and the scope of planned new products, the company has a real chance to significantly strengthen its position on the global smart home market.
