Dog jumps out of Zakopane cable car. Tragic end of the case
The sad ending of a story that has stirred up the internet. Last weekend, a dog jumped out of a cable car in Zakopane (Małopolskie). The prosecutor’s office reported on its condition.
A blood-curdling incident occurred on July 27. A dog jumped out of the chairlift at Polana Szymoszkowa in Zakopane.
As we reported earlier, the animal was traveling alone in a lift carriage. Panicked, it was standing on a chair. At one point, it jumped from a great height, estimated at the fourth or fifth floor. Mr. Łukasz, the author of the recording, told tvn24.pl that the owner of the animals was traveling in the next carriage with two dogs on a leash. However, it is not known how the pooch ended up in the next, unsecured carriage.
The tragic end of the jump from the trolley
This morning, prosecutor Justyna Rataj-Mykietyn, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Nowy Sącz, told TVN24 journalists that the dog survived the fall. It was said to have suffered only a contusion of the lung. However, after 3 p.m. it turned out that the animal had died.
The Zakopane police secured the monitoring and established the data of the employees who were operating the cable car at that time. Witnesses blame the incident not only on the dog owner, but also on the cable car operator.
Jan Walkosz Jambor, the president of the company managing the railway, admitted that “if the regulations were broken, there will definitely be consequences.” He emphasized that the case will definitely be explained. However, only after the police have completed their activities will the prosecutor’s office make a decision on any further actions.
