Does the indexation of 800 plus make no sense? The Poles surprised

Świadczenie 800 plus

Everything indicates that there will be no indexation of 800 plus in the near future. It turns out that Poles are quite cool about this concept.

Poles don’t want 1000 plus? This is the conclusion from the latest survey by the Pollster Research Institute commissioned by “Super Express”. On the occasion of the decade of operation of the “Family 500 plus” program, the newspaper checked our attitude to increasing the current amount of PLN 800 to PLN 1,000.

Poles against 1000 plus

The study shows that as many as 61 percent respondents are against the valorization of 800 plus. 39% are of the opposite opinion. respondents. The daily points out that this particular survey result may suggest Poles’ growing concerns about the state of public finances and the belief that the current amount of support is sufficient.

The 10th anniversary of the introduction of 500 plus passed on April 1 this year. Initially, the benefit was valid for the second and subsequent children (in the case of the first child there was an income threshold), in the second half of 2019 it was also extended to the first child. At the beginning of 2024, the benefit was indexed to PLN 800.

Everything indicates that there will be no further valorization in the near future. In an interview given to Radio Zet at the end of last year by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański, a question was asked whether the current team plans to increase the benefit to PLN 1,000 before the parliamentary elections.– NO –replied the head of the Ministry of Finance and Economy briefly.

Beneficiaries of 800 plus can count on a different type of good change. The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy is working on regulations under which the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will ex officio renew the right to child benefits before the beginning of each benefit period. This means that parents and guardians will no longer have to remember to complete the application every year. The changes are to enter into force in 2027.

The study was commissioned by the Pollster Research Institute Super Express”. Pollsters collected opinions on April 2 and 3. A representative group of approximately 1,011 adult Poles took part in the survey.
