The automotive expert indicates that when extinguishing the engine, the car really “does not know that it stops”. – When you turn off the power, the car stops, but the voltage drop causes that the air conditioning does not go into stopping, but to the operating mode – he explains.
Therefore, you need to turn off the air conditioning before turning the key in the ignition. – The compressor has inertia, strength, the auxiliary bar has resistance, so you should remove this load before stopping the car – just like I recommend pressing the clutch before stopping, (…) to relieve the vehicle and avoid damage to the system. (…) Air conditioning needs a fan movement, and in some vehicles, as soon as the key is removed, the fan stops and the condenser does not cool down – he emphasizes.
The mechanic from the thicket indicates that stopping the engine without excluding air conditioning will not cause sudden problems, but after a long time the maintenance of some elements may be required, which we could easily avoid by treating our vehicle well over the years of use. So there is no reason to panic, but it is worth implementing a specialist’s recommendation to avoid repairs.
