Do you keep it on your plot? You could get a ticket and lose your lot
There were plans to extend holidays up to 32 days. The parliamentary committee has already made a decision on the proposed changes.
Family Allotment Gardens are intended for relaxation and growing vegetables and fruit. Despite this, some users treat their plots as warehouses or places to store unnecessary items. Such actions may lead to serious consequences, including financial penalties and even loss of the right to use the plot.
The ROD regulations precisely define the purpose of the plots and the items that may be located on them. Using the plot contrary to these rules may result in a conflict with the garden management and sanctions against the plot holder.
ROD plot. These items must not be kept
The most common violations include using a plot of land as a waste storage site. Old furniture, interior design elements, used tires, car parts, scrap, rubble and bulky waste cannot be stored on the ROD premises. Any garbage not directly related to the use of the plot is also prohibited.
Building materials, such as bricks or sand, may only be present on the plot temporarily while the gazebo is being renovated. If they remain on the premises for a long time without a clear purpose, the allotment holder may receive a warning.
Hazardous materials under special supervision
Flammable, toxic or explosive substances may not be stored on the plots. While a small amount of fuel to operate a petrol lawn mower is acceptable, building up large supplies is prohibited.
The storage of hazardous waste, such as asbestos or used engine oils, is particularly restrictive. In such cases, the city guard or the Environmental Protection Inspectorate may intervene, and the fines may reach several thousand zlotys.
Cars and business activities are also prohibited
The regulations also remind that motor vehicles cannot be parked or garaged on the plot. It is also prohibited to wash or repair them. The plot is to be used for recreation, not as a workshop or parking lot.
It is also prohibited to conduct business activities on the plot or store goods intended for sale. Restrictions also apply to animal breeding. Breeding of pigs, goats and cows is prohibited. An exception may be pigeons, chickens and rabbits, but this requires the consent of the management board and meeting certain hygiene requirements.
The penalties can be very severe
If the user of the plot, despite a written request, does not remove the irregularities or continues to use the plot contrary to the regulations, the Polish Association of Allotment Owners may terminate the lease agreement. This means the loss of the right to use the plot. Additionally, there are fines for littering the area and illegally storing waste.
