Do not go to the Tri -City within this date. This is the most expensive time of the year

Prices on the Baltic Sea soaked up. The most crowded time of the year is approaching in the Tri -City.
The beginning of the holidays is not the best time for trips to Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. From July 2 to 5, 2025, the 22nd edition of one of the most famous summer festivals will take place in Gdynia. The Open’er Festival has its location at the Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport, but festival festivalists looking for cheaper alternatives for accommodation also come here from Gdańsk and Sopot. One thing is certain – at this time “ordinary” tourists are not to count on attractive accommodation prices. According to booking.com, over 80 percent of places are already occupied.
Tri -City during the Open’er Festival
If you are planning a short Baltic City Break at the beginning of July, better stay away from the Tri -City. Sopot, Gdańsk and Gdynia on the first weekend of the holiday month will be full of music fans from all over Poland. All through the Open’er Festival organized at that time – an event that lasts up to four days full of international and Polish stars. Although there is a campsite in the festival town built at the Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport, not every participant of the festival wants to sleep under the open sky. Concerts are therefore thrown on the booking of rooms and apartments, and prices for “ordinary” tourists are rising at a rapid pace.
That’s what you have to pay for accommodation
For accommodation for two people in a multiplayer in one of the Gdynia hostels from July 2 to 5 you have to pay PLN 1,500. We can still count on such “low” accommodation prices in private rooms with a small area or those located far from the city center. At this time, a better object is a real expense. For a double apartment you have to pay an average of a minimum of PLN 1,000 per night. Low availability may also be a problem, because the festival overlaps with the start of holidays, not only in Poland. The Tri -City is popular, among others among tourists from Germany.
