Disgrace already at the opening of the match! Polish fans in shock at the PGE National Stadium

Radość Szkotów po golu

The Scottish team needed just three minutes to take the lead in the match at PGE Narodowy. The White and Reds failed once again…

This was the first action performed by the Scots. Unfortunately, as it turned out, getting through the Poles’ defense was not a big challenge. Already in the 3rd minute of the match at PGE Narodowy, the guests took the lead, and John McGinn scored. The Scottish footballer had plenty of time to take a perfect aim and beat Łukasz Skorupski’s placed shot.

In this situation, assisting Ben Doak made a very good play.

It must be admitted that this was not what the fans in Warsaw expected. Of course, there were whistles from… disgusted fans of the Polish national team.

UEFA Nations League: The Polish national team fighting to stay in division A

The White and Reds won only one victory in five matches. Coach Probierz’s team won the opening match against the hosts 3-2 in Glasgow. In subsequent matches, however, the Poles performed worse than the Scots, who were last in the table. The Poles lost away to Croatia (0:1), and then took only one point from the two-legged match at PGE Narodowy in October this year

First, Portugal won very confidently 3:1. Then the Croatians had exactly the same result at the Warsaw stadium. However, after goals by Nicola Zalewski and Sebastian Szymański, the Poles managed to equalize and score one point (3:3). However, in the penultimate series of games, disaster occurred. In Porto, the hosts gave the Poles a harsh football lesson in the last, just over 30 minutes. Ultimately, it ended in a huge defeat, 1:5.

Therefore, Poles and Scots have four points after five rounds. Goal balance? Poles 8:14, Scots 5:7. However, the team led by coach Probierz is higher – due to the above-mentioned win in the direct match.
