Częstochowa has strong volleyball again! Norwid’s volleyball players with another scalp
After a tie-break, the Steam Hemarpol Norwida Częstochowa volleyball players defeated Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in Tuesday’s PlusLiga match. Volleyball near Jasna Góra is doing well!
However, to be more precise, in the case of the Asseco Resovia – Norwid match, the events did not take place in Częstochowa, but in Rzeszów. The fact is, however, that only in October alone, the volleyball players from the holy city were able to defeat Jastrzębski Węgiel, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and the above-mentioned Resovia after tie-breaks.
PlusLiga: Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa is not slowing down!
It must be admitted that Częstochowa fans have experienced a real mood swing in recent days. On Sunday, Steam Hemarpol Norwid lost at home to Barkom Każany Lwów 0:3. That is, a team that was unable to score a single point in previous matches. However, at Jasna Góra he not only won, but also did it in a very convincing three-set style.
Therefore, it was unknown what to expect from Norwid away against Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. Karol Kłos and company had a pretty good performance in Warsaw, losing to the leader PGE Projekt, but only 2:3. Asseco Resovia fans will have a completely different view of the next 2:3, but at home against Norwid. The Rzeszów team lost an almost certain success, having 2:1 in sets and 24:22 (plus another set at 25:24) in the fourth game of Tuesday’s match.
But what’s the point, the thing about volleyball is that you have to remain fully focused and effective until the very end. Asseco Resovia did not manage to beat the guests from Częstochowa, and they not only won a point (for the tie-break), but also won the decisive set 15:12 and the entire match 3:2. The Czech attacker of the guests was chosen MVP of the match. Patrik Indra scored as many as 28 points, attacking with 56 percent effectiveness (44 attempts).
Thanks to the victory in Rzeszów, the Częstochowa team added their fifth win in the eighth match of this season. Brazilian coach Cezar Douglas Silva can already positively evaluate the start of the competition for his team. After Tuesday’s win, Norwid is in seventh place, guaranteeing the play-off. Although there is still a lot of play left until the end of the main part of PlusLiga.
