Czechs visited a small Polish town. This surprised them the most
A pair of Czech tourists visited a Polish town. In the film they mentioned, among others: about drivers’ behavior and kebabs.
More and more foreign tourists decide to visit not only the largest and most famous Polish cities, such as Krakow or Warsaw, but also smaller towns. Recently, Czechs living near the border decided to make such a short, one-day trip. They shared their impressions of Silesia on their YouTube channel, and their visit was described by Portal Gliwice. As it turned out, some elements of their stay in Poland were quite a surprise for them.
Gliwice attracted tourists
Recently, a couple of tourists from the Czech Republic came to Gliwice. They started their spontaneous trip from one of the most important attractions of the city with approximately 170,000 inhabitants. In the City Palm House, where you can admire exotic plants from, among others, from Africa, Australia and America, but they were more impressed by the impressive aquariums. Polish prices also turned out to be attractive for foreign guests. An entry ticket for an adult costs only PLN 20 (approximately CZK 115).
The Czechs’ itinerary also included a walk around the market square, which they assessed as well-kept and exceptionally spacious for a city of this size. “Tourists along the way also noticed the love bridge hung with souvenir padlocks,” writes 24GLIWICE.
The Czechs were surprised by Poland
Although the trip to Poland was short, there were many elements that surprised the Czechs. They were most impressed by the drivers’ behavior. The couple noticed that in Poland they very often stop before crossings to give way to pedestrians. They emphasized that similar habits are becoming more and more common in the Czech Republic.
Tourists also noticed the large number of kebab places, which, however, was not perceived as a particular advantage of the local gastronomic offer. They also mentioned prices in one of the drugstores – many popular cosmetics turned out to be significantly cheaper than in their country.
