The dollar shot up, the euro and franc slightly up, and the pound slightly down. Here are the exchange rates according to NBP quotations from November 4, 2025.

Tuesday brings moderate changes in the quotations of four main currencies against the Polish zloty.

The “king of the day” is again the American dollar (USD) – it records the highest increase among the major currencies, exceeding the level of PLN 3.70 and continuing the strengthening that started at the beginning of the week.

The euro and the Swiss franc are gaining symbolically, maintaining stable prices around PLN 4.25 and PLN 4.58. The only currency that is losing against the Polish zloty is the pound sterling, falling slightly below PLN 4.84.

Currency market – analysis of the day (November 4, 2025)

US Dollar (USD) – growth leader

The dollar costs PLN 3.7019 today, which means an increase of PLN 0.0086 compared to Monday (PLN 3.6933). The American currency is clearly strengthening, breaking the level of PLN 3.70 and confirming its dominance at the beginning of November.

Euro (EUR) – slight growth, stabilization

The euro exchange rate is PLN 4.2575, which means an increase of PLN 0.0048 compared to yesterday’s level of PLN 4.2527. The European currency remains stable, staying in a narrow range of PLN 4.25–4.26.

Swiss franc (CHF) – slight strengthening

The franc costs PLN 4.5775 today, PLN 0.0022 more than the day before (PLN 4.5753). The Swiss currency remains one of the most stable assets on the market, gaining minimally against the Polish zloty.

Pound sterling (GBP) – the only loser

The pound fell today to PLN 4.8359, which means a reduction of PLN 0.0116 compared to Monday (PLN 4.8475). The British currency continues its correction after recent increases, but remains around PLN 4.83-4.85.

Average exchange rates are provided by the National Bank of Poland according to the following principles:

  • table A of average foreign currency rates is updated every business day between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.,

  • table B of average foreign exchange rates is updated every Wednesday between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. If Wednesday is a non-working day, the update takes place the previous day,

  • table C of foreign currency purchase and sale rates and the table of unit of account rates are updated every business day between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
