Cristiano Ronaldo at PGE Narodowy? There is a decision on Portugal’s appointments

Roberto Martinez revealed his cards in the context of call-ups for October’s UEFA Nations League matches. It has been clarified whether Cristiano Ronaldo will play at the PGE Narodowy.
It is worth recalling that the legendary Portuguese, despite the unsuccessful Euro 2024, intends to continue his representative career. Recently, there was even a slogan about the 2026 World Cup, in which Cristiano Ronaldo wants to play. Looking at the Portuguese player’s goalscoring form, this cannot be ruled out.
Will Cristiano Ronaldo play in the Poland-Portugal match at PGE Narodowy?
However, before thinking about the World Cup in two years, the UEFA Nations League will be played on the Old Continent at the end of 2024. It so happens that Portugal was placed in a group in which the Polish national team also competes. In October, both teams will face each other in a direct clash at the PGE Narodowy.
Looking at the call-ups of Michał Probierz and Roberto Martinez, the Portuguese coach, there will be a meeting of two captains and snipers of their national teams – Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal’s squad for October’s Nations League matches
- Goalkeepers: Diogo Costa, Rui Silva, Ricardo Velho.
- Defenders: Ruben Dias, Antonio Silva, Renato Veiga, Goncalo Inacio, Cancelo, Diogo Dalot, Nuno Mendes, Nelson Semedo.
- Helpers: Joao Palhinha, Samu Costa, Joao Neves, Otavio, Vitinha, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Rúben Neves.
- Attackers: Joao Felix, Trincao, Rafael Leao, Francisco Conceicao, Pedro Neto, Ronaldo, Diogo Jota.
The Portuguese will start their October LE matches with an away match against the Poles. In the second match, also in the delegation, CR7 and company will play against the Scots. Coach Martiniez’s players have full points after victories against Croatia (2:1) and Scotland (2:1).
Nations League: Coach Michał Probierz’s team returns to the game!
The Polish national team will play two matches in October. The Poles will first play against Portugal on Saturday, October 12. Three days later, i.e. on Wednesday (15/10), the White and Reds will host the Croatians.
Both matches will be played at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, in both cases the matches will start at 8:45 p.m.
In the first two matches, the Poles collected three points, thanks to an away win against Scotland (3:2). To this should be added a minimal defeat (0:1) against Croatia.
