Experts of the Rankomat.pl and RynekPierwotny.pl portals took a closer look at the banks’ offers and available apartments in the seven largest cities in Poland. They checked what property you can buy on a loan at various household structures and how much you need to earn really to afford your own M.
Housing loans
Data on the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) show that in the first quarter of 2025, interest in housing loans was steadily growing. In March, banks received 36.9 thousand applications – by 11 percent more than in February. In turn, February was better by 17 % than January, and January brought a 9 % increase compared to December 2024. Although the February increase in the number of applications has not yet affected the number of positive credit decisions, the situation has improved in March.
– In March, creditworthiness increased in almost all banks and for all customer groups. This is primarily the result of a fixed interest rate. Banks began to offer better conditions because the forecasts regarding the level of interest rates have changed. Currently, the view is dominating that the reductions will be introduced faster than previously assumed. Perhaps already in the second quarter – emphasizes Jarosław Sadowski, director of the Analysis Department at Rankomat.
What amount per flat?
