Friday brought a decrease in all major currencies against the zloty. Here are exchange rates according to the NBP listing of September 12.

Friday’s quotations of the National Bank of Poland (NBP) brought declines. The greatest loss was recorded by the dollar, but the euro, the Swiss franc and the pound also weakened in the last session of the week.

The dollar exchange rate approached the lowest level since the beginning of the week, and Euro and Frank remained in a narrow range of fluctuations. A pound sterling after a series of growth recorded a correction, slightly moving away from the psychological limit of PLN 5.

Currency market – Analysis of the day (September 12, 2025)

American dollar (USD) Today it costs PLN 3.6350, which means a decline compared to Thursday (PLN 3.6459). The American currency has been moving in a moderate upward trend since the beginning of the week, but the Friday session brought a slight correction down.

Euro (EUR) It is valued today at PLN 4.2593, which is slightly below Thursday’s level of PLN 4.2626. The common currency stays in a stable range, and weekly fluctuations are minimal, which indicates a relative balance on the market.

Frank Swiss (CHF) It closes a week at PLN 4,5588, which means a decrease compared to Thursday (PLN 4.5611). However, the Swiss currency remains one of the stronger this week and has no major fluctuations from the beginning of the week.

Pound sterling (GBP) It is valued today at PLN 4.9192, i.e. below the Thursday exchange rate PLN 4.9276. The British currency after prior increases recorded a slight correction, but still persists above the level from the beginning of the week (Monday – PLN 4.8936).

Average exchange rates are provided by the NBP according to the following rules:

  • Table A foreign currency courses is published every business day, between 11:45 and 12:15,

  • Table B of Medium Currency Courses is updated every Wednesday, between 11:45 and 12:15. If Wednesday is a day off from work, the update takes place the previous day,

  • Table C Courses for the purchase and sale of foreign currencies and the Course table are updated every business day, between 7:45 and 8:15.
