Today’s NBP exchange rates bring slight changes and maintain moderate variability on the market. The American dollar continues the slight upward trend visible in the last days of last week. Euro and Swiss Frank remain stable, confirming the calm atmosphere on the currency market.

Pound Sterling has a bad Monday – after prior strengthening today it loses against the zloty. The PLN 5 barrier is more and more distant.

Currency market – day analysis

American dollar (USD) Today it costs PLN 3,6475, which means a slight increase in relation to the Friday course, which was PLN 3.6432, and confirms the gradual strengthening of the dollar.

Euro (EUR) remains stable – The course at the level of PLN 4.2614 is almost identical to Friday, which shows the lack of major changes.

Frank Swiss (CHF) It also maintains a stable level – it costs PLN 4,5760 today, so slightly higher than on Friday. Last week closed the price of PLN 4,5695.

Pound sterling (GBP) There is no good beginning of the week. The British currency counts on Monday’s decline. For one pound of Szterling you have to pay today PLN 4.9151, which means a decrease in relation to the Friday level, which amounted to PLN 4.9314.

Average exchange rates are provided by the NBP according to the following rules:

• Table A foreign currency courses is updated every business day, between 11:45 and 12:15,

• Table B of Medium Currency Courses is updated every Wednesday, between 11:45 and 12:15. If Wednesday is a day off from work, the update takes place the previous day,

• Table C Courses for the purchase and sale of foreign currencies and the Course table are updated every business day, between 7:45 and 8:15.
