The Czech Republic is the best place to spend this year’s New Year’s Eve. In the Karkonosze Mountains, just across the Polish border, we can still find rooms for which we will pay less than PLN 150 per person on the last night of the year. A stay in charming houses, often equipped with a jacuzzi or sauna, will be slightly more expensive. Meanwhile, in Zakopane, where 98 percent of available places have already been rented, the lowest price for a room on New Year’s Eve is currently PLN 1,300.

Cheap cottages for New Year’s Eve in the Karkonosze Mountains

Prices in Zakopane are dizzying. From PLN 1,300 to even PLN 10,000 – this is how much a tourist couple who would like to spend New Year’s Eve in the capital of the Polish Tatra Mountains has to spend on one night. No wonder those hoping to spend the last night of 2024 in beautiful natural surroundings are looking for an alternative. This one is waiting for them just 30 minutes away from the Polish border.

On the Czech side of the Karkonosze Mountains, accommodation in the cheapest double room available on Booking.com will cost PLN 235, while maintaining the appropriate quality (guest rating is 7.8). For a New Year’s Eve stay at the three-star Relax Bára Benecko hotel with breakfast, sauna, spa and swimming pool, we will pay only PLN 180 per person. Similar offers can be found in other popular mountain resorts – Špindlerův Mlýn and Harrachov. Large groups will also save money. The Czech Republic tempts tourists

The Karkonosze Mountains are not the only region worth considering for celebrating New Year’s Eve. Every year, Prague is also popular among Poles. However, prices here are much higher and start from about PLN 1,000 per night in a double room. A visit to the capital of the Czech Republic can be combined with a holiday in the Karlovy Vary region located in the western part of the country, known for the so-called spa triangle. In Karlovy Vary, we will pay less for bed and breakfast on New Year’s Eve than in Warsaw or Krakow.
