Greece is famous for souvenirs in the shape of male genitalia, and it is not at all ashamed of it. You can find them, for example, while walking around Crete. Not only are they present on almost all stalls, but they are also very diverse – colorful, patterned, small and large. They take the form of bottle openers, key rings and many others. What do they mean? It turns out that the phallus is a Roman and Greek symbol that was extremely important in ancient times. It was supposed to protect the home from evil forces and ensure fertility for the family.
