Controversial guests at the Poland-Albania match. Their presence will cause a storm
Poles are fighting with Albania to advance to the 2026 World Cup. There were many politicians and controversial figures in the stands of the PGE Narodowy.
On Thursday evening, March 26, the Polish national team will fight against Albania to qualify for this year’s World Cup. As previously announced, Karol Nawrocki appeared at the PGE National Stadium. The president watches the fight between the white and red teams from the VIP box.
Just before the first whistle, cameras captured the head of state singing “Mazurka Dąbrowskiego”. The politician is accompanied by his younger son, Antoni, and Cezary Kulesza, president of the Polish Football Association, took his place next to Karol Nawrocki.
Poland – Albania. Braun at Waluś’s side
The match, the stake of which is the advancement of the Polish national team to the 2026 World Cup, also attracted other politicians. The stands included, among others: Grzegorz Braun with his party colleagues, Włodzimierz Skalik and Roman Fritz.
The MEP did not hide his delight that people were watching football competitions alongside him Stan Tymiński and Janusz Waluśthe killer of Chris Hani, one of the leaders of the African National Congress.
In turn, Zbigniew Boniek posted a photo on social media, which shows that the seat next to him at the Poland-Albania match went to Przemysław Czarnek, PiS candidate for prime minister.
You can also see many Polish stars in the stands. Jan Urban’s team is supported by, among others: Olivier Janiak and Marcin Mroczek. The captain of the Polish team, Robert Lewandowski, can count on the support of his wife Anna and daughters Klara and Laura.
Poland – Albania. Donald Tusk on the chances of Poles
Donald Tusk, however, was absent from the match. The Prime Minister explained that he “considers football to be a very serious issue, but his heart is full of fears that there will be votes in the Sejm at this time.”
When asked about the Poles’ chances of advancing to the 2026 World Cup, the head of government said that “Jan Urban’s players will have a difficult time ahead.” – You know, when politicians start predicting results, it’s the other way around. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I warn against easy optimism, for many years it seemed that Albania was everyone’s dream opponent. Those who know a little about football know that Albania is a very demanding opponent, said Donald Tusk.
