Controllers will knock on the door. You have to take into account the loss of money

In mid -March, mass controls of the National Labor Inspectorate on farms will start. In the event of detecting irregularities, you must take into account the reduction and even loss of direct payments.
From March 15, i.e. in less than a month, the National Labor Inspectorate (PIP) will start extensive inspections on farms. They result from the amendment to the Act adopted at the beginning of February. The amendment imposes additional obligations on farmers.
Farmers’ inspections in less than a month
As Radio ZET reminds, the amendment assumes that all employees employed on farms will have to undergo compulsory health and safety training. In addition, farmers as employers will be obliged to provide employees with personal protective equipment. PIP inspectors will check that these requirements are observed and control other aspects of work safety at the farms.
What if the controllers detect irregularities? The Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture (ARiMR) will inform about this, and this may decide on a reduction in direct payments. The first shortcomings may result in a reduction in support by 3 percent. total amount. Subsequent violations of the same type may result in cutting subsidies by 10 %, and in the event of intentional neglect by up to 15 percent. In extreme cases, ARMA will be able to completely undo the subsidies. This will happen in the case of intentional and gross non -compliance with the regulations.
PIP inspections will be carried out according to specific criteria. Inspectors will bet farms for visits based on previous inspections, statutory priorities and submitted complaints.
As the radio station notes, the new regulations arouse the objection of farmers who believe that PIP controls are an additional difficulty in conducting business. In their opinion, existing inspections carried out by the Fund of Social Insurance (KRUS) should be considered sufficient.
