Compromise of the Polish national team. It was never that bad!
Polish handball players lost 28:30 a match with the Switzerland national team for promotion to the next round at the World Championships. This is certainly a big disappointment.
The Polish national football team at the 2025 World Cup was traveling with an attitude of equalization or improving the result from the previous event of this type. Then the Poles took 15th place in the stake.
Unfortunately, during the ongoing event it is already known that after a defeat with Switzerland – Poles at best – they can finish the tournament in 25th place. And this will definitely be the worst result in the history of handball players at the World Championship party.

It is worth recalling that Poland lost 28:35 after a pretty good performance with Germany. Olympic runners -up, however, turned up the pace, jumping from the result 21:21 in the second half of the meeting.
The second group match is a draw of 19:19 Poles with the Czech Republic. The team led by coach Marcin Lijewski had to chase opponents after a very poor first part of the game. This art was successful, what’s more, the Poles even took the lead on the last straight, but the Czechs managed to even out and both teams had to share the match prey at the finish.
It became clear that it was with Switzerland that Poland would play for everything. Victory was a plan that could be assumed, in the context of some promotion to play for something more than consolation. The Sunday meeting was even. To 10:10 none of the bands could go out for a greater advantage than a two -goal. Unfortunately, the Swiss finally jumped back, after 30 minutes leading 18:15.
Poles made a lot of individual mistakes (as many as 16 losses in the whole meeting!), The nervousness and awareness of the rate they play were visible. Switzerland has already conducted even six hits, but Poland managed to make up for the losses. After hitting the Damian Przytuły on the Polish side of this day, it got 22:22. Again, however, at a crucial moment, there was no effectiveness. The tip belonged to Switzerland and the final result of 28:30, is most deserved.

Let us add that in the history of Polish handball players at the World Championships, it never happened that the representation would fall beyond the group of 20 best teams. Now, at best, when conquering the aforementioned trophy IHF boss will end up in 25th place.
