Haven’t bought a Christmas tree for your home yet? Thanks to the latest Christmas campaign in Warsaw, you can catch up by picking up your Christmas tree at one of three locations in the capital. There are up to 10,000 live conifers to give away, which you can adopt after making a donation to seniors in need. The Polish Red Cross is organizing the “Christmas Tree Connects Us” event, which will take place this weekend.
These Christmas trees have no price
Every year in November, the sale of Christmas trees starts in Poland. Few people still know that green trees can be obtained completely for free while doing a good deed. Every Christmas, charities announce a Christmas tree giveaway that has no price. However, to obtain them, you must meet certain requirements. In last year’s State Forests campaign, the condition for receiving a free tree was to donate blood. This year in Warsaw, all you need to do is make a donation to the Polish Red Cross piggy bank, which will be allocated to help seniors condemned to loneliness. Each donor can decide personally about the amount of support. The funds collected in this way will be spent on, among others: for therapeutic and activation classes for older people.
